Description[]

Main article: Status effect

Rush is an instantaneous combat effect which moves an ally to the front of the timeline (sometimes 1 turn after an enemy), regardless of their current position.

This allows them to take their turn immediately.

Rush cannot be applied to caster of the spell creating the effect.

Exception[]

As noted in the description, sometimes the rushed player will not be placed at the next position in the timeline, but rather one position behind.

This happens when there is a tie in the timeline. The order of the timeline is determined by a Time to Attack (TTK), which is a function of the character's quickness.. As such, it is possible for the turns of two combatants to technically be "simultaneous" if they share the exact same TTK value.

Consider a scenario where a player and an enemy have the same TTK, and the game has elected that the player will go first. If this player rushes a comrade, the comrade will be placed behind the enemy in the timeline.

In the case of a three-way tie or greater, the comrade is still placed behind the first enemy, not behind all players with equal TTK.

The GUI has no indication for when two combatants have the same TTK. As such, this exception appears random to the player and cannot be predicted in game.
